Hold Your Head Up!

For those of us that have been around Ben since his early days this video represents the remarkable gains he has achieved due to physical and occupational therapies. Those of you with exceptional children with "low muscle tone" can appreciate this as well. If you are unfamiliar with that phrase imagine what it is like to pick up a sack of potatoes at the store. The first few years of Ben's life that it what it was like to carry him or move him about. Just like a newborn child we were always very careful to support his head and neck because he didn't have the strength or coordination to do it on his own.

In the recording Ben is sitting in his Me-Ma's lap listening to his mom talk on the phone. A few moments later you will see him react to Jessie as she takes a picture and attempts to do her own recording of him. If you are a long-time reader here you might recall that until recently Ben was very camera shy. That has changed now that he has built up his self-esteem and confidence. Again we attribute that to the wonderful therapists that are a part of his life!

(PS, when is Me-ma making the pork loin again, and how long would it take to get there?!!!!)

My favorite part was hearing your reaction when Ben started smiling...that's exactly the happy tone my voice took to Jakie's grins too. Great video and thanks for making me hungry!
