Well fellow bloggers and lurkers I bid you adieu for a couple of days. Actually more than a couple of days. More like a week and a half.
Tomorrow morning I'll head down I-26 for the three hour trip to Summerville, South Carolina for the Flowertown Festival. I'll be camping at Givhans Ferry State Park while in the neighborhood and let me tell you that it is a joy to return to the camper each night of a show particularly when I'm staying in one of South Carolina's beautiful parks. Plenty of privacy between sites, clean bathing facilities, and the ability to build a relaxing fire to enjoy while winding down from the day.
Jessie has another dance competition this weekend in Charlotte (North Carolina for you Canadians) so Joan Ben and my mom are doing the "big city gig" for the weekend and then joining me at lovely Myrtle Beach, SC for Spring Break on Monday. We look forward to awesome seafood, tanned skin, and some good stories to share with all of you when we return after Easter.
This is a much needed break for my wife who has worked her fanny off the past 7 months with very few days off while working (no lie) some 80 hour weeks. I plan on letting our main bread-winner have some quality time to lay in a beach chair and do nothing. Of course a couple of big fat steaks on a charcoal grill will help with the relaxation. Oh yeah...there's that ocean and sand thing. Don't mean to rub it in Kimmy and RM.
Everyone have a blessed and wonderful Easter! I hope all of you ladies get plenty of chocolate and very few eggs (except Nurse Lisa).
