Hi Bennie, Hi Ben,

thank you sooo much for sharing the artist at work. What an inspiration Ben is - that video made my day...

keep painting Ben - it's marvelous to see you create!

And, thank you Bennie for giving us the insights into your family and Ben's life, and for talking openly about the issues that affect exceptional children like Ben or Ashley.
and i couldn't agree more with you:"In regards to making the public aware of disability issues it is unfortunate that this issue has not united us but divided us. That is the worst part of this."

That is what takes away from the progress for people with disabilities - if all that energy wasted on word fights against each other was put into word fights for the kids and other people that depend on our voices to make themselves heard, i think the situation for many families would be better already, even if for no other reason than that the negative vibes are gone from their home.

I for one (as a parent of three children without severe disabilities) commend Ashley's parents and any other parent making such tough decisions on behalf of their children to make their lives better, or even just more bearable.
Parents of special needs children are the true heroes of our society - and they often fight without glamour, without medals and often without financial gain.

my hat off to all of you!
