On the Fourth Day of Christmas...

My evil friend asked of me...to participate in the Grinch of all memes. It just so happened that the lovely Corina (check the link for yourself) posted this on the morning we discovered there was no hot water. So while I waited on an electrician friend to help me change out a thermostat on our hot water heater I thought I'd pass the time reading some blogs. Guess which one I went to first?

No shower. No shave. No combed hair. Still in a t-shirt and boxers (hey, I'm not going that far - I still want some readers here, you know - I'm about to scare of few of you away). And because I feel so "benevolent" myself I'm about to pass this little "gift" along to some of you so pay close attention!

Here are the rules:

1) Take a picture of yourself right NOW!
2) DON’T change your clothes, DON’T fix your hair… Just take a picture.
3) Post that picture with NO editing.
4) Post these instruction with your picture.
5)Tag 10 people to do this..

I will admit that I cropped the photo and re-sized it so that it wouldn't take Blogger 5 hours to load but that's it. And I also waited to post my pic about 24 hours later just so I could catch some of my dear friends lounging about unkemptly on a lazy Sunday morning. so I definitely think I stayed within the spirit of the rules. Without further ado I give you The Smirk...

And I tag...

Maggie at Okay. Fine. Dammit.
Kimmy K. at I Have No Name
Carmi of written, inc.
Mark of Mark Ruins Dinner
Casey writer of Moosh in Indy
Kyla on The Journey
Gretchen at Simon Peter's
Christina of Trees, Flowers, & Birds
Maggie writer of Magpie Musing
and I can't leave out Father Muskrat

I truly apologize for ruining your Sunday mornings. Go forth and spread good tidings of great joy to ten of your readers!

You're in trouble, buddy! LOL.

I took my photo as directed, but won't post it until maybe tomorrow, since I just put up my lovely MRSA post.

Oh, you are ... just..I mean....Grrrrrrrrr.

I followed instructions (dammit!) but it will have to wait until I get back from breakfast.

I do thank you for giving me something to post today!

Hey! Looking good. I actually like your hair that way. Makes you appear slightly more edgy. And we know that is the look you are going for.

Thanks for playing! and for the compliment (I think that is what that was!)

Kyla - I couldn't think of a nicer person to ask this of. And waiting until morning is a good thing. You'll catch more of your readers looking like me.

Christina - my pleasure!

Corina - of course it's a compliment! I really need a haircut. I have shaved though.

Thanks Bennie, you're the best. I took the picture, and will post it tomorrow night. I noticed that there's nothing telling me I can't tag you back...

You were on the short list, Christine!

You are F*CKING lucky (and so smart) not to have asked me.

I'd have been kicking your ass for the next year to come.

And dude. Shave!

You were also on the short list but I felt like you'd entertained us enough with your caroling "skills."

ALRIGHT.

I actually saw this last night, snapped the picture with my laptop, freaked myself out, decided against blogging it, then avoided your blog all day.

I have decided upon a compromise.

I won't blog it, but... here:

Yes, but you look adorable disheveled. It's another matter entirely with the average woman.

I really don't see why this picture won't suffice:

Maggie, you're adorable. I understand completely why you wouldn't want to blog a meme at the moment.

F. Muskrat, I'm impressed...again!

If you sported a English flag shirt, I swear you'd be Joe Elliott.

You missed my mullet days entirely, Tony. In my hair-band days we used to do "Photograph" and "Rocket". You'd probably give up KFC if you heard it.

Ben and Bennie said...

Oh and Jenny, I am humbled by your presence here on this meager blog.

I love this photo, and I love your playfully subversive spirit. I'll be diving in when I'm properly reconnected. I fear you may regret it once you see the photo I've chosen :)
