Moving Forward: A New Day

I'd be lying to say things are better than yesterday. Let's just chalk up my previous post to "that time of the month." Yeah, you younger stay-at-home-daddy bloggers laugh until your young hearts are content. One day, buddy...one day.

Maybe Monty Python's "Look on the Bright Side of Life" came to mind? Perhaps it was the needed whack upon the head from Joan that reminded me that we will have Christmas because of the the benevolence of another blogger? I certainly give some wonderful props to the 70 degree temps and sunshine that allowed me to meet Jessie at the bus stop in shorts and sandals. Whatever.

Tomorrow I'll have a fairly well thought-out post about how we are currently saving money. I know we've thought about as much as our brains will allow but honestly we could use more opinions and ideas. I'll share what we are doing and will add those from comments with linky love to your blog.

Back to the video. Ben's nurses are starting to get a feel for that huge screen that Ben laughs at every time presented to him. This little episode just blew us away. I recommend that you replay it if you don't understand Ben's vowel sounds (he actually says "Gus"). Let us just say that Joan just got wiped out emotionally because she never gets the chance to see these changes.

Just read your last two posts. All I could think about was that show, Extreme Home Makeover. Do you ever watch that? I seriously think you should apply.

I'm thinking of you guys.

I love when you post videos.

maggie, i am with you!!!
i was actually going to submit an application on their behalf with directions to these two posts, specifically and Ben & Bennie's site in general.

maybe if everyone who reads your blog submits an application as well as you, Bennie, they can work something out...

you are exactly who these people want to help out. i wish i could do something more, like buy a bazillion bags from you like NOW. but i am a poor nursing student...

sending love and prayers...

Go Ben!!! I heard him say Gus!! I thought I heard Rub too! Sometimes, all we can do is move forward. Thanks for sharing another video of Ben with us! As soon as Olivia hears him she comes running from the other room and lights up with JOY! Skye vocalized in the same way that Ben does. Unless you were around her all the time it was hard to make out...but she said, I love you, Mama, more, and her favorite "I GO GO GO!"

As always, sending you and your family many prayers, much love, and much HOPE! Liv says please give Ben a nice snuggly cuddly hug from her!

xoxo,

Tammy

Definitely Tammy. Ben says "I go" too! When he wants to get up or we're getting him dressed for an adventure.
