The HP Magical Mystery Tour - Part 2

"The Magical Mystery Tour is waiting to take you away..."
Lennon/McCartney

Perhaps our version should read "The Magical Mystery Tour is waiting to take your breath away." That happened late yesterday morning when a mom named Tracie who lives in New Mexico came to a similar realization of a dad in South Carolina. At almost the same time both mom & dad sent Casey e-mails about how incredible her choices had instantly become connected in a mysterious, magical and joyous way.

Let me condense a frantic morning of e-mails and phone calls into a short little paragraph. Casey wanted me to get to know the circumstances and story of the mom with whom we (me and Casey) were sharing the laptop. Tracie's story truly tugged at my heart and let me know just how difficult the task of those 50 bloggers.Around the time Tracie had thanked Casey she began to explore this blog. In the mean time Casey forwarded me an e-mail which included this paragraph:

I cannot imagine how very difficult a decision you had to make I would not have wanted to be in your shoes. My daughter and I cannot thank you enough it will be put to very good use. Please tell the gentleman that he is fantastic for sharing. Alex my daughter will be home Saturday from school for the holiday. She is just wrapping up finals. Please let him know that this will make a world of difference for her she is a 4.0 student studying genetics. She wants to go into genetic research and work on developing cures and treatments. She also hopes to work a great deal with Doctors Without Borders. Currently she uses the library computer or borrows one.

Umm....any jaws not yet on the floor? Let me paraphrase this if you will. Casey chose to give the bulk of the HP Giveaway to a family whose child has a genetic disorder which is incredibly difficult to diagnose. She asked me to give part of that to a young lady in New Mexico who is going into the field of genetics, a career that will advance the diagnostics and treatments of genetic disorders. Casey had absolutely zero knowledge of the connection we shared. None. Zero. Nada.

Three families are now connected across the universe. Three families who have and will share in the magic and mystery of the true Christmas spirit. Three families who now have evidence of where that Spirit comes from. Three families that are now connected in an Earthly way but also know there is a better way.

PS - Just another cool part of this puzzle that came together and to make the rest of the hair on your neck stand up, about the time I was reading Tracie's e-mail she was visiting this blog for the first time. Within about 30 seconds it was if the three of us had slammed into each other in a cyber-elevator.

New reader here--friend of Casey's in Indy... this is an amazing story! My jaw HAD dropped as I read this amazing connection. I love stories like this that make our huge world seem a little smaller. Also helps me to know that Heavenly Father is in charge. Congrats on winning and good luck to you.

Wow, Bennie! Congratulations on winning. Will you be able to speak to the daughter or the mom in NM yourself at some point to point out the connection you have? Stuff like this really just proves that there HAS to be someone up there running the show ;)
