A Sad Farewell

It is with sadness that I am announcing my withdrawal from the Artists Guild Gallery of Greenville. This decision was extremely difficult. In fact it's been one of the most heart-wrenching choices I have made in quite some time.

Making it so hard is knowing the amount of work and determination that each and every member has exhibited in making the gallery already one of the best in our local area after being open for only a short time. I cannot say enough good things about the folks there. They are all talented artists and a special community.

I am taking with me some wonderful experiences and great friendships. Many of us will continue to socialize and share our lives, ideas, and creativity (or lack of) with each other in the coming weeks, months, and years. It has been a privilege to work with these wonderful artists. I will continue to be supportive of the AGGG and it's efforts. There is no doubt that the organization will become one of the centerpieces of our local arts community.

Ever have that job where everything is just okay? You can't quite place a finger on what it is but there's something that just isn't clicking? Plus the dues were killing us financially.

You gotta do what feels right. Good luck! Will something replace this?

Bummer. But I have no doubt you're making the right decision for your family.

I'm really sorry to hear that, but I know sometimes you have to listen to the beat of your own drummer.
