Blogging Star for You to See

The Curmudgeon over at Second Effort evidently thinks I'm worthy of a little more bling to hang over on the sidebar. Just like most critters with small craniums I just happen like shiny things and do collect them on occasion. Skittles' Place initiated this award "for bloggers who shine their light throughout the Blogosphere. Some do it with humor, others with creativity, and others with their kind and thoughtful natures. We all know more than a few of them so why not give them some recognition?"

I actually can't think of any better reason to reward a fellow blogger although I'm now left with some tough choices. I read just about every one of those blogs on the sidebar almost everyday. Each of those writers has contributed a great deal of light for me as I travel the dark desert highway of life and obviously deserve consideration of a Blogstar. But I'm allowed to choose just a few.

So here are my Heavenly Hoorahs in no particular order (by the way the only rule is that Skittles would like you to link back to her blog so she can follow the award's journey)...

KimmyK - My bestest blog buddy. It's too bad we didn't grow up together because we would've had great times together. It's also good we didn't grow up together because we would've gotten in even more some serious trouble. She's pretty laid back and is just as comfortable sharing how her heartstrings are being plucked watching her teenage children growing up as she is discussing Mexican dildos.
Kyla - This sweet little Texan's family is walking a similar path as we. Despite the unknowns her darling youngest child faces she strolls headstrong into the future with a smile and an occasional bump on the arse.
Mark & Karen - Here's another couple with a wonderfully handsome exceptional son. Both have blogs chronicling their family life which is quite interesting reading with a father and a mother's perspective. Plus these folks are quite small given their love of cooking good food. I'm still waiting for the invitation to dinner.
Above Average Joe - One of my newer readers and an avid baseball Red Sox fan. He may call himself average but his blog entries are full of wonderful little gems regarding family life. I truly respect his devotion to his wife, The Champ, and Peanut.
Creative-Type Dad - The first daddy blogger I read. Tony is hilarious and quite poignant about being dad to a two-year-old daughter. He's also another creative individual who can't tell you a darn thing about how automobiles work. That's pretty cool in my book!

Thanks Curmudgeon and Skittles for the very much appreciated award!

First of all: Congratulations to you! You are definitely a blogging star.

Second: I'd like to thank The Academy, Jamba Juice, Colonel Sanders, and traveling circuses...

You like me. You really like me.

Yeah I would say we would have been best of friends had we lived near each other growing up. Can you imagine?? OMG. Talk about trouble.

Congratulations on your award. I can't think of a more deserving guy who makes my day a little brighter than you.

LOL @ the Mexican dildo comment. Shaddup.

Thanks Bennie for the award. (Psst, the check's in the mail.) It's rewarding for this to come from you, one who takes devotion to their family to a whole new level.
