Cute, Cute, Cute!

One of the sweetest things about Ben is his love for little children. The younger, the better. We were reminded of that today while waiting to get Ben's glasses adjusted.

Today was his annual eye appointment. I'm sure everyone else reading this despises that check-up due to the dilation drops. Blinded by the light with major head-ache to follow. Well Ben has the funniest reaction to getting his eyes dilated. Me and Vickie were privy to this year's eye feast, for lack of a better description.

Anyway, a proud grandmother had one of the receptionist's little ones. The baby was sitting up but not quite ready for walking. The kind lady was in no way fearful of Ben so she brought her granddaughter over to see Ben. Let's just say the eye feast had a wonderful dessert.

So this afternoon I went looking for pictures of Nurse Vickie's recent off-duty visit. We like these even better than when she's working because she brings along her beautiful daughter, Hailey. Ben adores her! Of course who couldn't. Speaking of "who" my wife figured out who Hailey resembles. Think of Cindy-Lou Who from the cartoon version of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.

Enjoy the eye fest!

Hailey decided she wanted be like Ben. On her own she pushed Ben's old chair over to him, climbed up in it, and made sure she had a book to look at too.

Ben decides to read to Hailey. Note Hailey's left hand. She constantly holds on to Ben when she's around him. Folks, that is not a natural reaction for most children.

Like Mommy, like daughter. Hailey will be a nurse.
