Just a Little Change of Pace

I'm not sure about everyone else but I needed a smile today and I didn't have to look too far to find one. In fact I was staring at a wide toothy grin for most of the night or rather early morning.

While I stayed up for the news last night Jessie crawled into our bed and sacked out next to Joan. Rather than disturb Jess I decided to sleep in Ben's bed and get a first hand look should he seize during the night. Sure enough, sometime between 3 and 4 I was awakened from the bed violently shaking. I nervously watch the pulse ox but Ben's vitals never tanked. Once he calmed down he turned and stared at me awhile.

I turned back over hoping he'd get bored and go back to sleep. Nope. Next thing I knew Ben had picked up Freddie the Frog, his sleep buddy, and threw it over my side. Honest to God I didn't know he could do that! I turned back over and watched him laugh, smile, and have himself a little party for the next two hours.

In this scene he's playing with his Big Mac. With this particular version he has to hold the big blue button down for the music to keep playing. His red version, he has to just touch it once to turn an appliance on or off. I hope you enjoy this as much me and Vickie!

Oh that smile!! For awhile I thought he was thinking "what the hell is up with this sesame street crap. where is my aerosmith???" :)

I don't think I've ever seen him so animated!

I'd say he's back to baseline. He loves music! It's the only time he completely ignores the camera.

i'm glad that you were there for ben in the middle of the night. i have to ask though, does ben have seizure's often in the middle of the night? and if so, do you know? i mean, do bells and whistles go off??

i'm glad you were there-i hate the thought of the lil' guy goin' through that alone.

thank goodness for you and freddie.

Thanks for sharing that with us - the girls are now all singing the Elmo song at the top of their lungs :o)

It's cute how he knows exactly when the song is over and seems to be all out of breath from working to make it play all the way through. He definitely knows how to rock out (he just might need to grow his hair long, just to keep up with that image :o) )
