I Thought It Was Over

And then McCain hit a grand-slam in the bottom of the ninth. This one's going into extra innings folks. By the way, is there any way we can get Sarah Palin to run for president and have McCain step back into the Veep role? Also be sure to read the entire article. Her youngest daughter was born in April with Downe Syndrome. Governor Palin was ridiculed by some for carrying her full-term.

I'll grant you, she's young, pretty and female, which is a surprise indeed, coming from the Republicans, but it's just a ploy to distract us from the facts. And the facts are: McCain is not going to bring about the change we need.

Brack Obama, I believe, is the face of this country's future prosperity. He gave an incredible speech last night (again) - I even got verklempt, over a politician! Now that is rare!

Agreed. But I do like the choice. The good part is that this put her on the fast track for the next POTUS election - she'd be a far better choice than McCain right now.

Another positive is that women politicians are gaining power in both parties. This is a great thing for American politics.

She sounds like a lovely woman, a smart woman, but all I see when I read her bio is "oil" another oil family, another person in power with a vested interest in squelching the development of alternative fuels, another person in favor of defiling another habitat for..... yep, you guessed it. Oil.

Just a tiny detail, but she gave birth to a son with Downs. His name is Trig.

I think he made a good choice, too.

Thanks Sabrina. I still can't figure out that X & Y chromosome stuff. Seriously. I bought a chick magazine this week and I'm not talking about Playboy. It has a Jennifer Lopez diet or some other nonsense on it. Something's wrong with me.

i am very shocked at his choice, and i applaud it actually, but...i just can't see another republican in office again.

but again, she's a great choice. and she's pretty. she'd do wonders for the white house.

She is strong, smart, and solid. She cut her state's taxes, gave them $1500 rebate checks AND did away with the gas tax! Nixed the "bridge to nowhere". Cut the overspending my millions or was it billions!?! And she has huge approval ratings from her people.

The gas thing, yes she wants to drill, because we should have been drilling years ago, we wouldn't be in this mess if we had! But you can't change the past, you have to write the present to ensure a successful future.

I'm jealous. The U.S. gets to have a much more entertaining election than the one that was just called here in the Great White North. Canucks just can't seem to get inspired by the parties and leaders who all look like clones of each other. Americans, on the other hand, are full of fire and determination as they line up on either side of the race. Gotta love that!
