How Then Shall We Live?

After posting my thoughts on Friday I wondered how I could follow it up without being trivial or providing some kind of positive follow up. I left out many things that haunt me (and Joan). Dreams that are so vivid that you awake in the morning and run downstairs to make sure Ben is breathing. Guilt that you live with because our exceptional child is alive when another has passed on. Hours spent wondering how our child will be cared for after we are gone should Ben survive that length of time.

I received an e-mail from another old friend this weekend that gave us much solace. Let me first say that you will need tissues handy when you watch the following video. The peace we have received from this "lecture" is remarkable. I think it is a fitting epilogue to my previous entry.

Yep, it's exactly 10:00 when he just "gets you"! What an amazing guy...

There are so many good points in this simple speech!
