On the Road Again
In a few moments I'll be heading south to Savannah for my first show of the year. For some reason I've been meandering between nervous and excited the past 48 hours. Perhaps those emotions are related - they seem quite the opposite in my book though. More than likely I'm doing what the rest of my family is so very good at: obsessing.
I've put a great deal of work into preparation for the year so given the results of the last few shows during the fall, the fact that it's an election year, and the economy sucking at the moment I would say I'm a bit worried. Hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised.
I am looking forward to catching up with some of my carnie friends. The folks down there are super people including the vendors, the customers, and the Savannah Waterfront Association who puts on the event. Add to the fact that the weather looks like it'll cooperate (sunny, 73 degrees) and we do have the ingredients for a fine weekend. And of course the scenery isn't bad either. I took the above photo from my booth back in December.
It's a short trip. I return Sunday so check in then to see how things went. For those that do so send some prayers and good thoughts my way. I truly appreciate them and will always return the favor. Be safe this weekend!

Let me know how it plays out. I would love to know. We had a good Savannah show a few weeks ago. But that show was indoors....
Peter
Prayers and good thoughts always!! It looks and sounds beautiful. We had 4 more inches of snow last night, but it's warm! Yes warm--35 degrees :)
Break a leg!
I hope you did well this weekend. I said a quick prayer for great weather and heavy pocketbooks.
Good luck to you!
Prayers from us for a safe trip and a pleasant surprise!

Good luck Bennie. Hope it went well.
Been a while since I've talked to you buddy. Hope things in your life are relatively sane.
I know it's a long way off, but are you planning to be at any football games this year? Would be nice to catch up with you again.
Anyways, again...good luck. Hope things went well.
So how did it go? Where people coming out? Where there spending? How did other artists do?
Peter, this is probably not a show for you...uh...I mean Conni. Not only did they come out but they were having fun.
We have no problem with fun......
As long as we can sell as well. ;-)
