An "exceptional" son and his father are inspiration for each other in many ways. The family's journey is documented here daily (well almost). The father's artworks along with father & son collaborations are for sale and can be viewed here as well.

Kickoff 2007 at Furman University!
Tailgate Menu: Slow-Cooked Beef Brisket, Barbecued Venison, German Potato Salad, Cajun Rice, and various appetizers.
Should have brought the kiddos this time!! You probably wouldn't have been able to yell at the Old Fart w/o Jessie passing out from embarassement! Ben probably would have laughed his head off!!!
Thanks Bennie. I missed you guys too. The lab was ok. I worked from 8 am (yes, 8 am on a saturday) until 2 pm, and then I took the rest of the day off since my last week was just insane. The USC game was ok. No Furman though. It just feel so impersonal (?) at a big school. Oh well, it was still fun.
Also, I don't drink, but yes...the cleveage was ok ;). Hope you're doing well and I'll try to get up there soon. Take care.
Ben is a wonderfully happy 18-year-old boy. He has a rare genetic disorder scientifically known as Tetrasomy 12p. The related syndrome is called Pallister-Killian Syndrome (PKS). As for me (Bennie, the dad), I'm a 1986 graduate of Furman University with a BA in fine Art. Married to my wife Joan for 24 years, we have two children; a daughter named Jessie and our son Ben.
It is our desire that this blog not only provide need fundraising for Make-A-Wish South Carolina but to also give you inspiration, hope, joy, and insight for your own journey in life.
