It was Bound to Happen

Sooner or later I would have to miss an art show because of illness. Sooner arrived early this morning so technically it didn't happen on my birthday but it certainly seems like I woke up on Christmas morning with the flu. While everyone else is checking out what Santa brought them the only thing I feel like doing is tossing myself in the toilet and then flushing. That is because at this very moment I should be in Aiken, South Carolina about to set up my booth for what has been one of my best shows the past two years.

Instead of preparing for non-stop customers I'm trying to figure out how to keep my head from exploding. I'm positive it's going to happen since my stomach detonated around daybreak this morning. In those few moments the waves subside I get to worry about how I'm going to replace the income we'll be losing the next two days.

With nothing better to do I think I'll go bury myself in the bed covers for another couple of hours. I hope everyone else is healthy and if by chance you know of someone needing a collection of horse-related paintings, send them my way. Oh and be sure to turn off the lights when you leave.
