We interrupt this important topic...

Maybe being a part-time stay-at-home-dad has gotten to me. Maybe it's been the two weeks off from "work." Maybe it is the hot weather. Maybe I've gained too much estrogen by hanging out with so many blog mommies. Whatever. I blew my stack this morning. Details are unimportant at this juncture but you stay-at-home mommies can sympathize.

I'm fairly certain that I called my wife a poor excuse of a husband (literally) this morning since she and my daughter planned out our day despite the fact that we didn't have a nurse for Ben nor did I have Ben's special car seat to haul him about without anyone to help. I'm gonna blame most of it on the fact that I needed a refill of my anti-depressants and lack of food since my nieces visiting from Tennessee ate all of our dinner last night leaving me two slices of pizza. Whatever.

Ever have one of those days when nothing goes right at all? There are groceries to be bought, errands to be run, and peace piece of mind is something you want to carve out of your spouse's brain and display on the fireplace mantel? I had one of those this morning. Whatever.

I'm currently sipping on fermented grape juice and enjoying the fact that I leave town a day and a half from now and leave all the frustrations to "hubby" and the older child. Yes, meltdowns do occur occasionally for us x chromosome types. I also discovered where the knives are hidden and plan on hiding them in a new place. Laundry is caught up, the kitchen is clean, and I am WOMAN! Hear me roar!

Damn. Something is seriously wrong with me...

Hi Bennie - if i was a guy, i'd be asking 'is it that time of the month again???' (that would be a guy's first question for a wife blowing a gasket - so, fair is fair: IS it that time of the month again? :o) )
On a serious note, i think everybody has days that were best left off of the calendar. Just remember: tomorrow will be another chance to make it better....
Cut yourself and everybody else some slack - you just might be able to laugh about it two weeks from now.
In the meantime, get out a big piece of paper, some fat old charcoal or a big fat paintbrush and some cheap paint, and sling some angry color around - just because you can. Just to see what happens when you do.
Nobody ever said that every day had to be calm and collected - so enjoy the feeling of near explosion, so that tomorrow might be one of little birds singing, rainbows and butterflies again. The contrast should be quite extraordinary. :)

Hang in there for a better day tomorrow!

Oh yes...I've had those days. And they end in wine...I find it is an excellent compliment to whine. :)

Every body loses it sometimes. Nice picture--that looks like my brain at the end of the weekend.

My wife says it's definitely my time of the month. I feel bloated and I almost cried at a Geico commercial last night.
