Beach Music

I'm not talking about the popular songs from "yester-years" that folks along both of the Carolina coasts "shag" to ("The Shag" for those of you that haven't visited The Grand Strand or The Outer Banks is the official dance of both North and South Carolina). Nope. This kind of music involves the waves lapping against the sand, the wind whispering through the palmetto trees, but more importantly the sound of children laughing while the first two serve as background noise.

There have been very few vacations that could rival the past week or so. The only disappointment was the short time our entire family got to spend together. Other than the reunion being short all of the other elements were perfect. We have many pictures, stories, and smiles to share over the next few days. In fact it'll take at least week to relate the love, fun, and humor shared during the course of what will probably be our last family vacation at 65 Eugenia Avenue on Kiawah Island, South Carolina.

An excellent offer to purchase the house was made just this afternoon. It looks as if another chapter will close for the Waddell clan but we know that just opens another one in the course of our journey. We are excited for my mom and hope things will work out.

As for Ben, there could not be a little boy more loved than him! His cousins couldn't have included him any better in their activities. And of course his aunts and uncles lavished him with smiles , kisses, and love that will be cherished for a lifetime. I just wish everyone could have such an uplifting time with their families.

I haven't had the time to check out your blogs and the next two days will be very busy. I begin the summer shows this weekend with a trip to Blowing Rock, North Carolina so I may have to catch up next week. As always vacation is missed real quick when you hit the ground running.

Aw. Sounds like you had a good time. That picture is really cool. The guy on the far right-I think he might of been in the sun a tad too long. I'll be looking forward to your stories.

Good luck with your upcoming shows.

Glad that you had such a good time. Ben deserved all of the love and affection that can be gushed at him....he's just an amazing little boy:). That is an awesome picture. You all look very relaxed and happy.
