- Ben is a wonderfully happy 18-year-old boy. He has a rare genetic disorder scientifically known as Tetrasomy 12p. The related syndrome is called Pallister-Killian Syndrome (PKS). As for me (Bennie, the dad), I'm a 1986 graduate of Furman University with a BA in fine Art. Married to my wife Joan for 24 years, we have two children; a daughter named Jessie and our son Ben. It is our desire that this blog not only provide need fundraising for Make-A-Wish South Carolina but to also give you inspiration, hope, joy, and insight for your own journey in life.

Thanks Kim. I love my ma-in-law very much!!! She's a hero in how she's fought cancer since Ben has been alive. I can't wait to post Pictures of here and Ben today. Ben calls her "NaNa" like the rest of the grandkids. They are attached like two people can ever describe. All Ben would yell all day is "Nan-Nah!"
