A Morning Resolve

What I am trying to do these days...each and every day...

I will try this day to live a simple, sincere and serene life, resisting promptly every thought of discontent, anxiety, discouragement, anger, envy, resentment, and self-seeking; cultivating cheerfulness, a noble character, charity, and the habit of holy silence; exercising economy in expenditure, generosity in giving, carefulness in conversation, diligence in appointed service, fidelity to every trust, and a childlike faith in my Higher Power.

In particular I will try to be faithful in those habits of prayer, work, study, play, physical exercise, eating, and sleep which I believe The Creator has shown me to be right. And as I cannot in my own strength do this, nor even with a hope of success attempt it, I look to thee, O Lord God.

Many, many thanks for Forward Movement for the wonderful daily meditations!

I have now embraced sobriety for 120 days (and counting). Happy Easter Sunday to everyone! We will be back soon...

As sad as I am to see my son suffer the realisation that a life led faithful to beliefs hard won and transparently championed for the benefit of those we connect to, is a salve for the aching soul.
We shall journey,
and princes shall tread lightly our hearts.

Hi
My name is Jenna and I came across your site. Ben is an amazing, courageous, strong and determined fighter. He is a real brave warrior, inspirational hero, and a real super trooper. I was born with a rare life threatening disease. and I love it when people sign my guestbook. www.miraclechamp.webs.com

How are things going? I used to be a regular reader and then life got in the way. I remembered your blog and was sad to see it's been so long since you last posted. Congrats on your sobriety, and I hope you're keeping it up. All the best!

Every child I've worked with in the past becomes permanently imprinted on my heart and your Ben was certainly never forgotten (even though I wasn't great at keeping in contact). What a sweet boy and so grown up! Hugs to him from Miss Kristy.
